Public holidays on February 25, 26: All schools, offices to remain closed

KUWAIT CITY – The Kuwaiti government has declared a two-day public holiday to celebrate the country’s 65th National Day and 35th Independence Day. This decision was made during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah. All government ministries, educational institutions, and public departments will remain closed on Wednesday, February 25, and Thursday, February 26. Kuwait already enjoys a two-day weekend, with Friday and Saturday being the official days off. As a result, citizens will benefit from a total of four consecutive days off to mark the historic occasions. Work is set to resume on Sunday, March 1, following the extended break.
