LAHORE – School Education Department has officially issued a notification announcing extended school holidays from March 10 to March 31 across the region. Authorities believe the move will help reduce transportation usage and ease pressure on fuel consumption during this period. Despite the closure of school campuses, the department has made it clear that all examinations will continue strictly according to the already announced schedule. Students will still be required to appear for their exams as planned. Meanwhile, the notification further clarifies that all other educational activities, including classes and academic work, will continue through online platforms. Schools and teachers have been instructed to maintain academic continuity by shifting teaching and learning to digital systems. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the provincial Education Minister had already hinted at this decision earlier, signaling the government’s intention to adopt special measures to deal with the ongoing global circumstances.
