Rains of varying intensities are predicted in the southern parts of Pakistan on Monday night and Tuesday, with occasional breaks. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a shallow westerly wave prevails over the southwestern and central parts of Pakistan, which will likely persist during the next 18 to 24 hours. Under the influence of this weather system, light to moderate rain is predicted in the southern parts of the country on Monday night and Tuesday. Light to moderate rains with wind and thunderstorms are expected in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qilla Abdullah, Qilla Saifullah, Chaghi, Nokkundi, Dalbandin, Noushki, Harnai, Zhob, Kalat, Mustung, Bar Khan, Sibbi, Loralai, Khuzdar, Kech, Turbat, Panjgur, Gawadar, Awaran, Kharan, Pasni, Ormara and Lasbella on Monday night and Tuesday, with occasional breaks. Rains are also expected in Dadu, Hyderabad, Karachi, Thatta, Badin, Jamshoro, Shukur, Larkana, Jacobabad and Khairpur on Tuesday. Gusty/dust-raising winds are also likely during the period. Light to moderate rains with winds and thunderstorms are expected in Waziristan, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan and Kurram on Monday night and Tuesday. Light rain/drizzle accompanied by gusty/dust-raising winds is also expected at isolated places in Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bhakkar, Layyah, Bahawalpur and surroundings on Tuesday.
