Ration bags distributed among underprivileged

Tavvun Welfare Association (TWA) is dedicated to giving back and supporting the needs of the communities it serves in many ways. From 28th of February to 5th of March, around 400 ration bags were distributed among underprivileged in various villages of Thatta (Ghulamullah, Jati, Chuhar Jamali and Makli etc) villagers. Therefore, this became a tradition of TWA which was followed year after year. TWA also distributed ration and food items in Karachi and at various other areas which included Gaddap, Lyari, Golimar, Ibrahim Haideri, Malir etc. The founder, Syeda Amna Nasir Jamal created an initiative to positively change the community by grass roots involvement, reaching those areas which are of least concern for anyone to provide support to max number of people within her limited funds. She told that “every activity we do is directly touched by the hand of a volunteer. From the more visible activities of our volunteers to the unsung heroes who assist us through their administrative work and campaign support that delivering Ramadan Ration directly to the doorsteps of the deserving families Ramadan to those who engage new volunteers by representing TWA in the community, our volunteers are the engine that runs this organization.”
