LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the Ramadan Relief Package worth Rs47 billion to support underprivileged families across the province. The package includes a range of initiatives such as the CM Ration Card, Nighban Dastarkhwan, and Sahulat Bazaars aimed at providing relief during the holy month. Rs10,000 Aid for Families In a meeting chaired by the chief minister, it was decided that ration card holders will receive Rs10,000 during Ramadan, a significant increase from the previous amount of Rs3,000. Additionally, 4.2 million deserving families will each receive Rs10,000 under the program. Addressing the media, CM Maryam Nawaz emphasized that no deserving family should feel isolated or neglected during Ramadan. To facilitate the distribution, the Punjab government has also launched an online portal and a helpline, making it easier for families to apply for aid. Where to Apply for Ramadan Package The chief minister said registration is mandatory through the PSER system to avail the Ramadan relief package, and applications can be submitted online from the comfort of homes, or through Union Council and municipal offices.
