NOSHKI – Balochistan, February 5, 2026: Security challenges in Balochistan’s Noshki district have intensified as unknown armed assailants launched an attack on a stationary freight train at the Ahmad Wal railway station using a rocket, causing severe damage to the train’s engine. The police and railway sources said that the attack occurred late last night while the train had been parked at the station for the past five days. Railway authorities confirmed that the rocket strike rendered the engine completely inoperable. Efforts are underway to dispatch a replacement engine, though the substitute has yet to arrive. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the attack. In response, security forces have been placed on high alert to protect both the railway track and the goods. Ahmad Wal railway station serves as a key logistics point for Noshki and nearby areas, facilitating the continuous movement of goods. The attack occurs amid an already tense security situation in the province. In a separate incident, unknown individuals also targeted a crucial bridge on the National Highway near Gulangor using explosive materials. The attack severely damaged the bridge, with one section completely destroyed, potentially leading to disruptions in traffic flow. This bridge is vital for connecting Noshki with other districts, and its destruction could severely impact transportation in the region. Following the attacks, railway officials confirmed that an immediate search operation was launched in the area. Security forces have increased patrols in Ahmad Wal and surrounding regions to maintain order and safety. Police are investigating the incidents and working to identify and apprehend those responsible. As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks. The incidents are part of a broader trend of ongoing threats to Balochistan’s transport infrastructure. The multiple attacks in recent months have disrupted the region’s transport system, causing growing concern among passengers and traders about the potential impact on the delivery of goods and daily life. Security forces reassured the public that the situation is under control, and repair work on the damaged infrastructure would begin shortly. However, the calls are growing for increased security measures in the region to prevent future incidents and ensure the safety of transportation networks. 216 terrorists killed as Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-1 successfully concludes in Balochistan
