Sindh govt plans Youth Card to boost education, jobs, sports for youth

KARACHI – The Sindh government on Thursday began preparations to launch a Youth Card program aimed at offering young people across the province greater access to educational, employment, and sports opportunities. The initiative was discussed during a meeting at the Sindh Secretariat chaired by Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar. Officials instructed the Sports Department to develop a detailed implementation plan for the program. The session was attended by senior officials, including Sports Secretary Manzoor Ali Mahesar and representatives from relevant departments, who outlined initial proposals for the initiative. Minister Mahar emphasized that the program should be designed to deliver maximum benefits to Sindh’s youth population. He further noted that, following special directives from PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Sindh Youth Card is expected to be launched before June this year. The Youth Card will offer young residents of Sindh access to educational support, vocational and skills training, employment opportunities, scholarships, and sports facilities, aiming to empower the province’s youth and promote their overall development.
