ISLAMABAD – Overseas Pakistani citizens living in the UAE and other countries are required to keep their NICOP (National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis) updated as an expired document can create trouble for them. The NICOP serves as an official document that confirms the holder’s identity, citizenship, and status as a Pakistani national. It is recognized as valid proof of Pakistani citizenship for all purposes outlined by relevant laws and regulations. With a NICOP, holders can enter Pakistan without the need for a visa, as it grants them the same rights and privileges as Pakistani citizens while residing abroad. This card ensures seamless, legal, and unrestricted travel to Pakistan, in compliance with immigration and nationality laws.
