Continuing the previous practice, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav again avoided a customary handshake with his Pakistani counterpart Salman Ali Agha at the toss for a high-voltage clash of the T20 World Cup on Sunday. In last year’s Asia Cup, the two sides had met thrice, and Yadav refused to shake hands every time, a move which has triggered criticism from across the globe, including India as well. At a presser a day before the much-anticipated clash, Yada suggested fans wait for the match, but again skipped the handshake on the day. After winning the Asia Cup final against Pakistan, Team India refused to take the trophy from the Asia Cricket Council and the Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Mohsan Naqvi.
