Office-bearers of Anjuman Tajran Commercial Market have rejected the protest staged by certain traders, stating that the broader interests of the city will not be compromised for personal gains. They emphasized that the rule of law and public convenience must remain the top priorities. Chairman Mushtaq Mughal, Vice Chairman Hammad Qureshi, Group Leader Naqi Shah, President Malik Sohail Awan, Senior Vice President Raja Aslam Kiyani, General Secretary Raja Zafar Yousaf, Mehfooz Khan and others expressed satisfaction over the ongoing operation against illegal encroachments and appreciated the actions taken by the Government of Punjab and the Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation. The office-bearers demanded that the anti-encroachment drive should continue without discrimination and on a sustained basis to ensure lasting order in the city. They noted that the removal of encroachments in Commercial Market and adjoining bazaars has widened roads, enhanced the market’s appearance, and increased customer footfall, positively impacting businesses.
