UAE Ambassador inaugurates Day Care Centre at Shaikh Zayed Hospital

Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan, Salem Mohammad Al-Zaabi, inaugurated the Day Care Centre at Lahore’s Shaikh Zayed Hospital on Wednesday. During the visit, he was given a detailed briefing on the medical facilities, patient care services, diagnostic and therapeutic departments, academic activities, and ongoing development projects of the hospital. He expressed his desire to further strengthen collaboration between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates in the healthcare sector. The Ambassador visited various wards and departments, including a special visit to the Liver Transplant Unit and reviewed the medical facilities being provided. He expressed satisfaction over the treatment arrangements and appreciated the dedication and services of the hospital staff. On the occasion, Mr Al-Zaabi inaugurated the state-of-the-art new Day Care Centre established for the children of hospital staff. The purpose of this facility is to provide a safe and supportive environment for the children of doctors, nurses, and other employees, enabling them to perform their professional responsibilities with greater focus and peace of mind. He inspected the Day Care Centre and termed it a positive step toward staff welfare. Professor Ayesha Humayun, Chairperson & Dean, stated that Shaikh Zayed Hospital is a welfare-oriented and teaching institution committed to modern medical research, high-quality education, and public service. She emphasised that, along with providing quality treatment to patients, special attention is being given to the professional training of young doctors and medical staff to effectively meet future healthcare challenges. Professor Mona Aziz Gillani, Executive Director, stated that the hospital administration is continuously striving to enhance services, improve governance, and raise the standard of medical facilities. She stated that the installation of modern equipment, improvement in service delivery, and a transparent administrative system were top priorities.
