UAE to resume work visas for Pakistanis soon, confirms ambassador

ISLAMABAD – UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Salem Mohammed Salem Al Bawab Al Zaabi announced that work visas for Pakistani workers will soon be resumed, with preparations underway for the process. The ambassador made the statement during a meeting at the UAE Embassy with a delegation from the Pakistan Overseas Employment Promoters Association (POEPA), led by Chairman Syed Rehmat Ali Shah. The delegation, which included POEPA Secretary General Muneer Siddique, former Chairman Syed Habib Ali Shah, Chairman’s Special Assistant Shakeel Abbasi, and Executive Member Tariq Javed, discussed various matters related to the employment of Pakistani laborers in the UAE. UAE Work Visa Update Al-Zaabi confirmed that efforts to resume the issuance of work visas for Pakistanis were underway, with progress expected soon, creating more employment opportunities for a large number of Pakistanis. The UAE ambassador emphasized the historic and brotherly ties between Pakistan and the UAE, noting that cooperation between the two nations spans several sectors, including the supply of skilled labor. He praised the contributions of Pakistani workers in the UAE’s development, highlighting their role in shaping the country’s economy with their skills and professionalism. In his remarks, POEPA Chairman Syed Rehmat Ali Shah thanked the UAE Ambassador for his diplomatic efforts and reiterated the ongoing importance of Pakistani labor in the UAE’s construction and development sectors.
