Update on flights from Pakistan to Middle East countries amid Iran-US war

LAHORE – A total of 102 flights from Pakistan to the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and other Middle Eastern countries have been cancelled today due to ongoing situation in the Middle East and the closure of regional airspace due to Iran and US war. The airport sources reported that Karachi Airport witnessed 44 flights to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Sharjah, Kuwait, and Bahrain cancelled, while Islamabad Airport cancelled 8 flights to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Bahrain, Kuwait, Sharjah and other destinations. At Lahore Airport, 18 flights to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain were cancelled, and Peshawar Airport cancelled 16 flights to Dubai, Sharjah, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi. Similarly, Multan Airport cancelled 10 flights to Dubai, Sharjah, Bahrain, Doha, and Kuwait, Sialkot Airport cancelled 4 flights to Dubai, and Faisalabad Airport cancelled 2 flights to Dubai, Sharjah, and Jeddah. The cancelled flights involved major airlines including Emirates, Etihad Airways, Air Arabia, PIA, Air Blue, Flydubai, Qatar Airways, Fly Jinnah, and other domestic and international carriers. The airport authorities stated that in the past 10 days, the total number of cancelled flights from Pakistan to the Middle East has exceeded 1,100. The officials explained that since February 28, the flight cancellations have been caused by the closure of airspace over the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Iran. However, limited operations have resumed by Emirates, Flydubai, Air Arabia and Etihad Airways. Mojtaba Khamenei named Iran’s new supreme leader
