MANSHERA – A well-known TikTok star, Javed, popularly known as Mahandri, was shot dead in the Balakot area of Mansehra just before iftar, sparking widespread outrage and protests in the region. The police said that Mahandri had gone to the riverside in Balakot with friends to break their fast. During the gathering, he reportedly made a joke at a friend’s expense. A video of the incident, which later went viral on social media, shows a friendly atmosphere among the group before one of the individuals pulled out a pistol and fired. Mahandri was hit by the bullet, fell to the ground, and later died in hospital. The preliminary reports suggested the alleged shooter is an on-duty police officer, who fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
