Cold and partly cloudy weather is likely in Murree, Galiyat and Pakistan’s other major tourist destinations till February 18. Synoptic Situation: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. Forecast: Under these conditions, cold and partly cloudy weather is likely in Chitral, Dir, Kalam, Naran, Kaghan, Gilgit, Hunza, Skardu, Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Murree and Galiyat from Saturday to Wednesday. Cold and dry weather is expected in Ziarat and the surrounding areas from Saturday to Sunday. However, rains, winds, and thunderstorms with snowfall are expected on Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures: Murree’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 0°C and 02°C on Saturday and between 01°C and 03°C°C on Sunday and Monday. Past Weather: Meanwhile, freezing weather prevailed in Murree, Galiyat and other tourist destinations in the country during the last 24 hours. Astore remained the coldest place, where the temperature dropped 05°C below the freezing point. Minimum temperature in Kalam and Gupis was recorded at -02°C, in Skardu at 0°C, and in Gilgit, Hunza, Murree, Dir, and Rawalakot at 0°C.
