Cold and partly cloudy weather is predicted in Murree and Pakistan’s other major tourist destinations during the current and coming week. Synoptic Situation: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. Forecast: Under these weather conditions, cold and partly cloudy weather is predicted in Chitral, Dir, Kalam, Naran, Kaghan, Gilgit, Hunza, Skardu, Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Murree and Galiyat from Friday to Tuesday. Cold and dry weather is expected in Ziarat and the surrounding areas from Friday to Sunday. However, rain, wind, thunderstorms with snowfall are expected on Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures: Murree’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between -01°C and 01°C on Friday and between 0°C and 02°C°C on Saturday. Past Weather: Meanwhile, freezing weather prevailed in Murree, Galiyat and other tourist destinations in the country during the last 24 hours. Astore remained the coldest place, where the temperature dropped 05°C below the freezing point. Minimum temperature in Kalam was recorded at -03°C, in Nathia Gali, Hunza, Gupis and Rawalakot at -02°C, in Malam Jabba at -01°C, and in Murree at 0°C.
