White Fox leads Marvel Rivals Season 7 amid key gameplay changes

NetEase Games has shared new details for Season 7 of Marvel Rivals, with White Fox set to headline the update as the latest Strategist. The character introduces a hybrid playstyle. She can heal teammates while dealing damage, using her fox marbles, and builds up Kumiho energy over time. That stored energy can then be used to strengthen allies or disrupt opponents during fights. It’s a flexible kit — part support, part control — and clearly designed to shift how team fights play out. Mobility is another key part of her design. White Fox can quickly close gaps, reposition, and briefly transform to push enemies back while keeping teammates alive. Her ultimate ability goes a step further, turning her into a full nine-tailed fox, allowing sustained healing alongside pressure on opponents. Alongside the new hero, Season 7 brings a noticeable balance reset. Ultimate abilities will charge more slowly, with energy gain reduced by around 20 percent. It’s a broad adjustment, aimed at reducing how often ultimates decide fights. When multiple effects hit in quick succession, their impact will now be reduced — a move likely intended to prevent players from being locked down too easily. Several heroes are being toned down, including Winter Soldier, Elsa Bloodstone, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, and Vanguard Deadpool. At the same time, buffs are being rolled out to Hulk, Blade, Black Panther, Duelist Deadpool, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, and Luna Snow. The changes suggest a push toward more active, ability-driven gameplay rather than reliance on ultimates. Other tweaks include an increase in hero bans from two to three, along with adjustments to ranked placement. Player performance will now play a bigger role in determining starting ranks. Season 7, titled The Hunt is On, is set to launch on March 20, with White Fox arriving as its first major addition.
