Zardari condoles demise of Manzoor Watto

FIDA HUSSNAIN President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday visited the residence of Ayesha Manzoor Wattoo, daughter of former Punjab Chief Minister Mian Manzoor Wattoo and Director General Operations Punjab, to offer condolences on the passing of the veteran politician. Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider, Hassan Murtaza, Rubina Shaheen Wattoo, Nawab Shahzad, Mehreen Anwar Raja, and Haji Azizur Rehman Chan also attended the meeting. During the visit, President Zardari offered Fateha and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family. He paid tribute to the political services of late Mian Manzoor Wattoo, highlighting his contributions to provincial and national politics. Speaking with the family, the President recalled personal interactions and shared memories of his time with the late leader, emphasizing the legacy of dedication, public service, and political commitment that Manzoor Wattoo left behind. Zardari also prayed for patience and strength for the family during this difficult time. Meanwhile, Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed, in-charge of the People’s Labor Bureau, reached the Civil Secretariat to express solidarity with government employees who have been protesting for nine consecutive days. The development took place during the visit of President Asif Ali Zardari in Lahore.
